I have seen on a Display Port web page, what looked like an adapter with display port one side and HDMI the other, does this exist as it seems better than the DVI to HDMI approach. From what Ive read it is also known as DP++ and it passes the signal straight through as HDMI with the use of an adapter. I have done some reading on the mini display port and its computability with HDMI. I am about to buy a 2011 13' Macbook Pro. I have read that you have to use an adapter then plug that into a cable with DVI on one end and HDMI on the other and then use a "y" cable for the audio plugged into your amp for sound.
